Dedicated to equality

Our people are core to our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We hire talented individuals from diverse backgrounds so our workplace truly reflects the communities we serve. At Experian®, this is how we define diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging:

Diversity

The presence of differences that may include thought, style, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, dis(ability), culture and experience.

Equity

Promoting justice, impartiality and fairness within the procedures, processes and distribution of resources by institutions or systems.

Inclusion

An outcome to ensure those who self-identify as diverse feel welcome and actually are welcomed. You meet your inclusion outcomes when you, your institution, and your programs are truly inviting to all.

Belonging

A sense of fitting in or feeling like you’re an important member of a group where you can achieve your professional goals and your voice is heard.

Our diversity, equity and inclusion framework

A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our organization. This mission touches every part of our business, from the way we develop our workplace culture, to our efforts to provide financial education and resources in our communities, to the products and services we delvier to our clients and consumers.

The wheel is broken up into three pieces - Our people: supported by our workplace and workforce; Our community: supported by our suppliers, non-profits, and diversity partners; Our clients and consumers: supported by our financial inclusion products and programs. The center of the wheel has our framework’s goal: to drive high impact through a global framework with local relevance.

Framework in action

To progress in creating a better tomorrow, we must ensure our global DEI strategy connects with, and supports, the needs of the regions where we do business. Our deep commitment to DEI is entrenched throughout Experian.

Communities

Through financial education and collaboration with partner organizations, we work to provide financial empowerment, helping reduce the global wealth gap within underserved communities and the financially vulnerable. We also focus on supplier diversity by increasing our spend with vendors from diverse backgrounds and setting diverse spend expectations with our largest suppliers. And we monetarily match our colleagues’ volunteer time because we actively support the communities in which we live, work and serve.

“I think especially considering the pandemic, Experian has really taken on a culture of looking after employees, whether it comes to making space for parents on navigating Zoom preschool while developing new product features to checking in a couple of minutes prior to having team meetings. Experian’s culture is setting itself up to be more inclusive with the diversifying workplace environment.”
