I’m Stacy Fifield and I’m Vice President of Consumer Lending and Operations Support and I work for Travis Credit Union. We’re located in Northern California between San Francisco and Sacramento. We’re $1.8 billion in assets and have a loan portfolio of about one billion dollars.
What are Some of Your Biggest Challenges?
Right now our biggest challenge is loan growth. We continue to have our portfolio run off. And we’ve had to look for alternative ways to make loans. And one of the things that we’ve done over the last few years is our recapture program. We’ve partnered with Experian to use credit bureau data to find our pool of business. And so we were able to look at each of our members and loans that they have financed elsewhere we were able to tap into that potential funding for us. And for the last three years we funded about 13 million dollars each year, and it has helped us keep our portfolio level, which is not common. So we continue to have runoff on the indirect portfolio but this has allowed us to stay even on our direct side.
Which Experian Solutions Have You Implemented? How Have we Helped You?
Well we have always used Experian for the inquiry mode and we like the integrity of the database and the data that we use. We have always used prescreen. Every quarter we go out and get a Prescreen of our members and then we use the QuestSM program for our monitoring of our card portfolio and other lines and limits that we have.
